Repair that was performed was cold solder joint. Explained in my note to them have worked with radios since the 1980's. The micro can be used to power only. The mini powers and will charge simultaneously if enabled. There's no issues I found plugging in both while charging or not.I noticed the SDS100 has a dedicated battery pack so that is a buzzkill compared to AA batteries I'm used to. I will be required to purchase an extra battery and charger. Programming is a breeze. Handles simulcast better than any other scanner out there. Speaker could be improved but its performance is acceptable. If this test still has the "Low Voltage" problem then try using the Mini-USB cable and power USB power supply that came with the SDS100 (without the GPS). If that works, then there may be a problem with the Uniden BC-UTGC cable. If this test still has the problem then there may be something wrong with the SDS100 itself.The SDS100 is designed to properly and reliably receive LSM simulcast systems, whether Phase 1 or Phase 2. The ONLY Uniden scanner that does not require power to the GPS is the SDS200 with the SGPS module, it is powered directly from the SDS200.

I've got a call in to Uniden's repair shop in Texas to see if they're willing to extend the warranty to re-repair the radio, but I'm guessing that isn't likely to happen..
