Artillerist isn't really that ranged. I play close/mid. Very high stagger and destruction. Need good knowledge of mechanics due to attack delays. But I've played all the classes and I have the most fun playing the Artillerist. It is slow to level up and the class doesn't get fluid till t3. Maining mayhem zerker, i parked it in 1325. Class is fun and hits really hard but a little too braindead so it's getting old for me lol. Playing with a deadeye right now and it's super fun and satisfying to play, but it requires 4 times the effort over zerker for slightly similar results.

Normally people are looking for lets say a Support in their group of 3 DPS! Hope you get the point! IMO after trying half the classes in the game, Surge Blade is by far the most fun spec in Lost Ark. Eoho • 1 yr. ago. So at least for gunlancer the class doesn't really feel fun till you get the actual abilities your class will use (level 30 and so on). The test a class function not really representative of many classes since it just gives you the base 8 abilities you get after going through the prologue. An important thing to remember is that gunlancer scales extremely well with engravings, especially blue lancer - since your shield is basically always up (if you have specialization & time your shout right) a lot of the negatives to engravings are basically negligible. Braindead class, and as you say just stand there and, nothing do nothing.. 90% of warlords (dunno why they fuck they call em gunlancers now) actually believe they are tanks, doesnt know a single mechanic for anything, they lack in all aspects. Very investment heavy and takes quite a bit of practice to pilot it. Personally, I'd suggest picking a DPS class as your first for the story, getting to Punika and then boosting a support with the Punika pass.Maining mayhem zerker, i parked it in 1325. Class is fun and hits really hard but a little too braindead so it's getting old for me lol. Playing with a deadeye right now and it's super fun and satisfying to play, but it requires 4 times the effort over zerker for slightly similar results. .
